It is in the 80s when Caterina Caneschi Franchi decides to go it alone in the world of gold jewelry . Caterina learned the art from an early age gaining experience in the most important companies of Arezzo. After a few years Caterina’ s husband Aurelio joins her and together they try to tame precious metals in creations that follow the fashion. The first production is based on gold chains mixed with semi-precious stones and molding earrings, bangles and necklaces. In the 90s even her children Daniele and Daniela are integrated in the company and the idea of weaving gold is coming through. The idea of restoring old XV century textile machineries was born to create modern jewelry. Therefore they start producing the first scarf jewelry, gold and silver threads that weave as in the Renaissance, and the results are surprising: nothing like this can be reached with modern machineries, and the secret is in manual crafts. They experiment fabrics such as denim jeans, leather and cotton, jewelry accessories for a "casual" fashion were born and they were intended for young and sophisticated people’s. The use of orange, light blue, lilac, red, apple green silks combined with the shine of gold and silver fibers seem to mimic the colors of natural stones such as citrine, turquoise, coral. The extreme versatility of products combines the uniqueness of woven work so that each piece of jewelry remains unique. The company takes part in the following trade shows: Vicenza Oro Fall and Winter.
The highlight of the production is the “full mesh” gold silver fabric , a soft and shiny metal fabric so bright that it seems to wear a cloth made of diamonds. The synthesis achieved between Renaissance art and the extreme modernity of the lines creates objects of incomparable elegance and uniqueness, pride of the oldest tradition of "Made in Italy". It is with great effort that the Franchis tries to keep a high quality level. Metalwork: AU333, AU375, AU585, AU750, AU835, AU917, AG925.
